Providing students the opportunity to make a profound difference in the lives of others, the Counseling Foundations concentration exposes students the latest theories and research through relevant, high-qualitycourses. Students are also allowed to practice these vital skills through classroom instruction, observations, and internships. The curriculum includes human behavior and interaction, counseling foundations, legal and ethical concerns, intervention and assessment and human dynamics.
Many students who graduate with this major work in the “helping professions”, and work in public, private and not-for-profit settings.
